Does size really matter?
If you have found yourself wishing you had more space at home, then it’s a clear sign that size does matter!
There may be many reasons why one may want more space at home. Leading the board is wanting to have an office or gym at home. The pandemic brought many changes in our lifestyle, some of which are here to stay. Among them is that many now get to work from home, when this was not so “trendy” before 2020. Also, many got used to working out from home instead of going to the gym. So, after two years of living like this, maybe you feel like your dining room table is not good enough to be your desk. And your family room does not fit one more dumbbell!
Another critical factor that makes families decide to move into a bigger place is having a growing family. Either because now you have more kids, you have new pets that need more space, or maybe other family generations are currently living with you, like parents or grandkids!
Storage space is another crucial factor in moving into a bigger home. Sometimes, even after decluttering and getting rid of things you do not need anymore, the storage space at home may be minimum, and with limited square footage, there’s only so much you can do.
So if you find yourself in any of the situations stated above, here are the two most important steps to making that goal a reality:
Make sure you are financially ready for the move. I can provide a comparative market analysis that will give you the estimated value of your current home. With this amount in mind, you can get prequalified for a loan, considering the possibility of selling your home or keeping it as an investment.
Once prequalified, you can decide whether to sell or keep your home. If you are keeping it, I can help you prepare to rent it out. If you are selling, I will guide you in the process so that you do not have to make a move until we do not find a replacement home, making this transaction as easy and smooth as possible.
